On the campaign trail in St. Johnsbury, Vermont

On the campaign trail in St. Johnsbury, Vermont… At a time when businesses are struggling to survive, the state laws in conjunction with the federal laws are crushing small businesses. Here Dennis speaks with Kathy and Chris Goslant, owners of Mucca’s Place on Eastern Ave. in St. Johnsbury. According to Kathy and her son Chris the state is forcing them to close their doors because they can’t afford to comply with the EPA and the state regarding asbestos regulations. Even though they have paid to have their building tested many times with negative results the state continues to require more tests with no end in sight. They have decided to close their business and sell the building which they bought four years ago. This is a perfect example of how a centralized government is causing many hardships on hard working Vermonters.
